Top Ten Tot and Toddler Wheels
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s a BAT-mobile! Toy vehicles roam the streets…or your kitchen floor. They say that toys at Christmas are for the children. Personally, I think the jury’s still out on that one. If I were choosing for me, the toy-with-wheels for the season would be the Batman Begins Deluxe Batmobile Vehicle. My hero. Sigh. He’s HOTT.
Seeing as this list is for littlies – check out Lu’s Top Ten Toy Trucks and Cars this Christmas:
Counting down from :
10 Fisher-Price Imaginext Ocean Boat – Ok. I know, I know. No wheels but such a funky vessel I couldn’t resist. This durable boat is all up for action and includes 3 figures and 3 ocean animals. Not babyish, it has working propellers, a launcher, translucent doors at the bottom of the boat and a place to store whatever you catch. This is a toy to spark the imagination and hold interest.
9 Playmobil Recycling Truck. Two workmen sweat it out to pick up all your recycled bits ‘n pieces with the bin-lifter. You can raise the roof with this one!
8 Bruder 02520 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited – This is a good, sturdy scale model which is built to last. He can use it in the house or on the lawn. This one’s a hit – they’ll love it! Some cool bits include doors that open, a removable roof and a working steering wheel. Looking for value for money and brag value – this is the one.
7 The Handle Haulers® Select Variety Pack includes the Safari Hauler and the Farm Hauler. Songs and animal sounds animate play on this chunky design and stable option. The haulers include removable animals and pens. A unique soft-grip handle makes it easy for little ones to carry it to where they want to play. Batteries are included.
6 Back To The Future Part 2 Time Machine – this decent-sized, beautiful, accurate scale model is for kids and collectors alike. You know you want one. Working wheels and an opening bonnet are one thing, but the detail right down to the time and date readout inside the car are what make it a winner for me. Ok. Maybe this one’s for mom.
5 Playskool Chuck My Talking Truck – This delightful, solidly-built and fully-motorized vehicle toy plays over 40 phrases and sounds in a voice that’s clear and easy to understand. It’s perfect for your little one. It comes with it’s own storybook and gets so excited that his bumper moves and his dump bed wiggles! When you call him, he starts to drive. Brilliant value for money for tots who like to interact. Don’t forget the batteries!
4 Tonka Toughest Mighty Truck - This rugged, durable truck is a great investment. It’s large, wider size and lack of sharp edges make it a MUST HAVE toy for little ones to push around. It measures 18 by 11-1/4 inches with 6-1/2-inch tires on free rolling wheels. It’s even safe for wet, muddy conditions! A well thought-out truck for hours of fun. Highly recommended.
3 Kid Galaxy Morphibians Gator is a full function radio contolled vehicle with working headlights, a 4 x 4 drive train and deep groove tires pull it through the water quickly. It’ll work on pavement, dirt, sand, and in water! Yeah, baby! You gotta getta Gator! Almost indestructible, it climbs easily over obstacles and the controls are even dad-easy to operate. Watch out for present swaps this Christmas. Junior may not appreciate the Santa tie.
2 Fisher Price – Little People Lil’ Movers School Bus –A classic, bright, colourful and fun toy. An absolute favourite. 3 wiggly-wobbly characters get in on the talking, singing, lighting-up action : Maggie, Michael and Carlos the Bus Driver. Don’t forget the batteries! This one is fantastically durable for hours of play filled with imagination. A special feature means your child to learn about diversity in a fun, friendly way.
1 Seeing as it’s my list, number 1 for this pirate heart has to be Matchbox Mega Rig Pirates Ship – Arrr! Pirate wheels!
The Mega Rig pirate ship begins as one large vessel and ends up as 30 different ships! There are some funky accessories like a giant squid, 2 pirate figures, a treasure chest and still others! It floats on water and rolls on land. Even the smaller parts float which makes this toy perfect for bath time fun. Ahoy matey!

Toys for two year olds – nice ideas for small kids…
Now I know what I’m going to get for my niece for her birthday… I had no idea what little kids are watching these days (or what is ok for them to watch). I must see what they are suggesting closer to Christmas too….

I found this blog that has suggestions for toys and events for young kids. Mine are a little old now, but would be good for people with kids around 2 years old….
